I once talked my way into a kitchen at 2am just to watch a chef finish his sauce — that's how seriously I take food in this city. My passion is knowing which hole-in-the-wall in Deira serves a better machboos than any five-star dining room, and I love watching people's faces when they taste it for the first time.
